Last Minute Halloween Makeup - Glam Vampire

With Halloween just around the corner, I have decided to do a super easy last minute Halloween look. I really wanted to film a few Halloween tutorials for my YouTube channel but, with my lens packing up on me last minute, I didn't get the chance (crying emoji). I'm devastated as I had been looking forward to filming them for months. So, I'm now back to the temporary iPhone 5S camera for now, I hope you don't mind.

This year, I really wanted to be a vampire. So, I became one. I used my regular foundation as I'm super pale. If you have more colour to your skin than me (I'm jealous), go for a white face paint. Then, I set my foundation using Rimmels Stay Matte powder. I then filled in my eyebrows using the master shape brow pencil from Maybelline and primed my eyelids using Urban Decays original primer potion.

To make my eyes glam, I used the What You Waiting For palette from Makeup Revolution. Using the shade 'Stupid H..' on the outer corners and in the crease.
Then I used the shade 'Sex Chromosome' to darken the outer corners a little more.
Blending in 'Scary Conversation' with the other colour and lightening the eye worked perfectly, I love this colour combination! I then obviously blended it all in together.
I used 'Hot Track' and lightly buffed it under my eyes for that 'tired' look.

Next, I applied my Nancy lashes from Vintage Cosmetics - which are so beautiful. I also contoured my cheekbones, nose and around my hairline. For my lips, I used my new NYX soft matte lip cream in the shade 'Copenhagen'. It's the perfect colour for a vampire. To make my vampire even more glamourous, I added some highlight above my contour, on my cupids bow, my brow bone and the inner corner of my eyes.

To finish the look off completely, I put in some fangs and added some fake blood around my mouth (my FAVE part!). You can get fangs and fake blood from pretty much anywhere around this time of year and they're really cheap too.

The Perfect Eye Cream? Bobbi Brown Extra Eye Repair Cream Review

bobbi brown eye repair cream review

A lovely girl from Bobbi Brown came into the store I work in and offered us some free samples of the Bobbi Brown extra eye repair cream. You could say that there are some advantages of working in a shopping mall. After using makeup wipes for years and hardly ever getting enough sleep, I was super excited to try this out.

It's a thick cream but very light. The cream doesn't smell of anything - the first thing I done when I opened it was sniff it. Does anyone else do that with new products?
It's easy to dab in and it's extremely gentle on the skin, it's also great for sensitive skin. I use it every morning before applying my make-up and every night before bed. Just make sure the cream is fully absorbed before applying make-up/face products. It takes a little time to absorb so make sure you apply it in good time and apply a thin layer.

Bobbi Brown says:
"It targets the look of fine lines, wrinkles, dark circles, puffiness and dryness"

And let me tell you, that's exactly what it does. Since using this eye repair cream, my eye area has looked and felt so much more hydrated, moisturised, brighter and the fine lines just below my lower lash line are tighter. And, I noticed these results in around three days, I'm super impressed with this. If you're looking for an eye cream which makes those dark circles disappear or just a magic eye cream in general, this is the one for you!

A Little Lush Haul

I don't like spending too much in Lush as it can turn out to be super expensive. But, seeing all the Halloween and Christmas items, I couldn't resist popping into the store. I'm going to be honest, I wanted so many more products but after working out that all this would come to almost £20, I decided to stop myself there, especially as I had already spent more than half of my wages on clothes. I wanted to try the Lord of Misrule and the Autumn Leaf and so many other goodies, but I'm being good. Is anyone else like me or do you like to splash out on everything?

lush sparkly pumpkin bubble bar

Sparkly Pumpkin Bubble Bar / £3.95
I am all out for the Autumn feels this month. Ever since I saw this cute little pumpkin, I needed it. It's so glittery and just by picking it up your hands will be covered in glitter. I honestly thought that this was going to smell of pumpkins, LOL, it doesn't. The fruity smell just makes you instantly fall in love, smelling of berries, lime and grapefruit. This bubble bar turns the water a sparkly pumpkin orange colour and makes you feel wonderfully refreshed whilst relaxing in the bath. I totally recommend this bubble bar if you're looking for something Autumnal. It's so pretty too!

lush snow fairy

Snow Fairy Shower Gel / £7.95 for 250g
I had never tried the famous Snow Fairy before, so I went out and finally purchased it. My oh my am I impressed. I bought Lush's very own bubblegum lip scrub a few weeks back and little did I know how similar the scent was to Snow Fairy. Snow Fairy is such a shimmery product and makes your skin super soft after coming out of the tub. This shower gel smells of candy floss and bubblegum, so if you love sweet scents then this one's for you.

lush candy mountain

Candy Mountain Bubble Bar / £2.95
This is perfect to use with Snow Fairy and it makes the bathroom smell beautiful. It smells of sweets and vanilla, and I love both of them, so it's the perfect scent for me. You could get about 4-5 uses out of this depending on how much bubbles you like having. Like all of Lush's other bubble bars, it makes your skin super soft and you smell amazingly sweet after.

lush father christmas review

Father Christmas Bath Bomb / £3.75
This is such a sweet smelling bath bomb but Christmas also comes to mind whilst smelling it. How it smells of Christmas, I'll never know. I was a little disappointed that Santa was pastel pink instead of a red colour, but don't let that fool you. When it fizzes around, it's a pretty pink colour and then it's almost like there's a secret bath bomb in the middle as a vibrant green colour fizzes out. This bath bomb was definitely a surprise and I was so satisfied watching it. I will doubtlessly use this on a countdown to Christmas and on Christmas Eve.

My Berry Lip Picks

I finally feel like I'm waving hello to Autumn. My Autumn makeup has now made an appearance as well as my Autumn clothes. I love trying out new and different shades of lippies, especially this time of the year. Berry lips are now everywhere, so to give you a bit of inspiration I've listed my top three for this season...

Topshop 'Lovestruck' -
I bought this ages ago, I can't quite believe that it still exists in my makeup bag to be honest. It's the first and only makeup product I own from Topshop. Lovestruck is a lovely pink/light berry shade, perfect if you're not a lover of darker lipsticks but still feel like you need a berry lippy. I'll definitely have to take another trip to Topshop for some more!

Rimmel London 'One of a Kind' -
I absolutely adore this shade of red. To me, it's a berry type red which I love as I don't suit those popular bright red lipsticks. The only thing which bugs me about this lipstick is the flat angled shape. I make such a mess when applying it. You would've thought it would be easier, right? Wrong. SO WRONG. But, this lipstick must be the creamiest I've ever owned and it also applies so smoothly.

NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream 'Copenhagen' -
I have been meaning to try the NYX matte lip creams for ages and now I finally have, YAAAS! I don't know why I've put it off for so long because I am obsessed. I first thought that this colour would be WAY too dark for me and I wouldn't be able to pull it off. I was wrong, I'm crazy about this colour! I love how it just glides on my lips so easily. It's a very creamy consistency and dries evenly and quickly. I know people aren't fans of wearing matte lippies in the colder months but this isn't drying on my lips at all, and my lips still look very much hydrated whilst wearing it.

Wardrobe Essentials You Need This A/W

autumn and winter wardrobe essentials

With the colder weather drawing in, I decided that I wanted to and needed to update my wardrobe. So, I've been shopping around and found some affordable essentials that you'll need this A/W. I noticed this black cape in River Island a couple of days ago and I just had to get it. Unfortunately it is one size but I'm tiny and surprisingly, it doesn't look ridiculous on me. I thought that it was perfect for when you're chilly but don't want to overheat in a coat. It is reversible and River Island also stocks it in the colour grey, which is also gorg! £30.00 Buy it here.

Who doesn't love cosy socks in the colder weather? I live in fluffy socks and slippers at this time of the year and these slipper socks from New Look are perfect. How cute are the little bobbles? New Look also sell these in a light pink colour. £9.99 Buy these here.
I don't usually wear hats in the colder months. Mainly because they make my hair messy and they don't suit me. But, I bought this particular one from Primark a few weeks back. It suits me so well and its such a lovely material and colour. Although, I was stuck between this one and the burgundy colour. To be honest, I could've got both for the affordable price. £2.50 Buy it here.

I love a nice cosy coat for this time of the year. Longline jackets are so in trend at the moment but I feel that not everybody loves them. But I love this one from New Look, I love the length and the faux fur and it just looks cute. £44.99 Buy it here.
Another bargain from Primark is this burgundy scarf. I am obsessed with the colour burgundy at the minute, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because it's Autumnal and I'm all for that shit this year. I actually ended up buying this scarf in a light beige colour the other day. Unlucky for me, my Primark store didn't have the burgundy scarf in stock. But like my beige one, this is reversible which is always handy for different outfits. £5.00 Buy it here.

I have been wanting some knee high boots for ageeees. I just can't seem to find the perfect pair. I love these ones from River Island, they just go over the knee and look so lush on. I just wish they were knee length. But I love these anyway and you need to have a pair of knee high or over the knee boots in your wardrobe! £75.00 Buy them here.
I have been looking for jumper dresses everywhere. I must be really fussy because yet again, I don't seem to fall in love with any. I found this plain swing jumper dress from Boohoo and I was oh so pleased when I found it. It's exactly what I've been looking for. They're currently sold out in S/M so I'm gonna have to wait for this purchase. £15.00 Buy it here.

Lastly, you can never have too many boots. My boyfriend always says that I have too many shoes or he moans if I even glance at a pair whilst shopping. I saw these ankle boots from Miss Selfridge and fell in love. I bought a pair of ankle boots from there last year and they've lasted me so well. I love the suede and leather look and the gold detailing completes them. £45.00 Buy them here.

Things I Want To Do This Autumn+Winter

Oh, hello October!
October is one of my favourite seasons, it embarks the dark mornings, dark evenings, the colder weather and wrapping up in blankets... I could go on. So, I've made a list of things I want to achieve this A/W.

1. Starting an Autumn/Winter wardrobe. You don't know how long I've been waiting for the A/W weather. I've been patiently waiting to cosy up in blankets, throw on jumpers and buy lots more boots. Yeah, like I really need more boots. I adore Autumn and Winter fashion, I can't stop pinning cute outfits on my Pinterest board. If only I could pin those outfits straight into my wardrobe.

2. Exercise more. It got to Christmas last year and I didn't want to eat any Christmas pudding, sausage rolls, homemade Christmas biscuits or those chocolates out of a tub of Heroes because I wasn't proud of my body at that time. When I start a fitness routine, I never manage to keep it up. So, I'll probably have to make myself a timetable type thing to go by. This past week I have actually started working out, so I can slowly cross this one off my list.

3. Get my YouTube channel rolling. So far, being a fairly newbie youtuber, I have only managed to get two videos up. I'd like to make a lot more and that's something I'd like to do this A/W. Especially as Halloween and Christmas are coming up, I'm looking forward to doing some Halloween tutorials and Christmas DIYs.

4. Start drinking 'holiday' drinks from either Starbucks or Costa. After everyone had been raving about the pumpkin spiced latte from Starbucks, I eventually tried one the other day and ended up loving it. I'm not usually a fan of hot drinks but I prefer them a lot more in the colder weather.

5. Start making goals. Not just for my blog but for other things in my life too. It makes me much more motivated and makes me happy when I reach them goals.

What would you like to achieve this Autumn and Winter?
