Dressed for Autumn - Pinafore Dresses & Burgundy

Dress - H&M | Top - New Look | Tights - George at ASDA | Boots - River Island

Autumn and Winter are probably the only seasons of the year when I actually put effort into my outfits. I don't know why, but I love buying clothes this time of the year and it seems like so many other bloggers do too. Both my mum and I fell in love with this black buttoned pinafore dress in H&M last month, so we bought one each. We obviously don't wear them on the same days, although, would it be pretty cool if we did? It's highly unlikely though, as we have so many nice clothes between us.

You can wear this dress all year round which is what made me love it even more. I'm definitely going to wear it in the Spring and Summer months of next year! For now, I've put my fave burgundy top, tights and boots with the dress.

Credit to my boyfriend for taking these pictures. He's never used a camera before and he was getting all excited thinking he was some sort of pro photographer, haha.

Creepy Killer Clown Halloween Makeup

clown halloween makeup

It's almost that time of the year again! This Halloween, I have gone for a creepy killer clown. I actually got the inspiration from Pinterest, this certain type of clown makeup has been so popular recently and I've grown to love it. All you need to recreate this look is black and white face paint, a dark red/purple lipstick, fake blood, black pencil eyeliner and eyeshadow.

I started off by doing my usual daily makeup routine - eyebrows, foundation, contour etc. When it came to the eyeshadow part, I used my holy grail Urban Decay Naked 2 palette to create my very dark, black smokey eye. Then, I smudged some black eyeshadow along with some red eyeshadow underneath my eyes.

I then went in with my favourite kohl black pencil eyeliner to make my eyes even more darker. Next, I went in with the black face paint and a really thin liner brush to make those triangular shapes around my eyes and mouth. I added some fake blood at the very end which is super messy but it's all good fun.

When I began, I honestly thought this look was so simple to do. Oh, I was very, very wrong! Trying to make those triangles neat and sort of symmetrical was an absolute bugger to do! Anyway, just tell yourself, "you can't really go wrong with Halloween makeup".

Let me know what you think!

What I'd Like to do This Halloween

a halloween list blog post

I love Halloween and I feel like us British people should celebrate it a lot more. I've always watched those American TV shows and movies and had always loved their ways of putting up their ridiculous amounts of decorations. Here is a list of what I'd like to do this Halloween...

1. Go to a Halloween Party
Can you believe that I've never ever been to a Halloween party, not even when I was younger. I'm not saying that I want to go to one to dress as a slutty cat etc etc. I just love the idea of dressing up and doing all the fun makeup and SFX, dancing to Halloween music, drinking and having nibbles from Halloween themed plates and cups.

2. Go pumpkin picking
I really loved the thought of going to a pumpkin patch last year but it was waaay too late, it was like the 29th of October or something ridiculous and most places didn't have any pumpkins left. I usually just buy my pumpkins from Asda but I'm definitely going to a pumpkin patch sometime this week! I already know it will make me feel all Autumnal and Halloweeny, I can't wait.

3. Watch all the Halloween movies and TV shows!
My absolute favourites are Hocus Pocus and Halloweentown, I watch them every year without fail. I remember buying Halloweentown from eBay a while back, it was bloody hard to get hold of! I'll also probably have a scroll through Netflix too and see if there's any Halloween horrors on there. AND Stranger Things comes back to Netflix towards the end of the month. If you haven't yet seen it, you definitely should start.

4. Stock up on Halloween Luxury
Of course Lush is included in this one. I love the Halloween range from Lush and I always want to buy the whole range, but it works out to be hella expensive. Sometimes I wish my birthday was in October. Also, I have started my collection of Autumnal candles and Halloween candles, without a doubt, they're the best candles of the year.

Do you love Halloween as much as I do? What do you want to do this year?

My Secret to Firmer Skin!

my skincare routine
As you can probably see from the pictures, this post was planned to go up end of August time, early September. Honestly? I literally forgot all about it. But, it's finally up now! After using these particular three products for ages, I can now have a little rant about them to you.

THE GALVANIC BODY SPA- I bought this a few months back when I became a distributor for NuSkin, it was on a really good offer for a limited time with the body shaping gel (in the blue tube) included. I couldn't wait to start using this as I had seen so many fantastic results over the internet. Firstly, you apply the body shaping gel to whatever part of the skin you'd like to firm. For me, it's the top of my legs and bum. You don't need a lot of this gel, a little goes a long way.

Then, you turn on the little white device and just press gently onto the skin. It automatically senses that it's on the skin and sets a five minute timer. You just rub the device lightly in circular motions until the timer runs out. Then, you start on the other leg for another five  minutes. I could definitely see a difference after using this product for a week! Just to mention, this product wasn't sponsored in any way, I'm not even a distributor for NuSkin anymore, I just love how this product works.

CLARINS BODY LIFT CELLULITE CONTROL- I have suffered with subtle cellulite since I was about fifteen years old. After doing quite a bit of research, I found this product which was highly recommended on the internet. I've been using this for about two years now and I love it. Obviously, it is quite pricey but it's worth the money. It's really easy to use, you simply rub the product in certain motions on the back of your legs. I use this twice a week.

BIO-OIL- I used to hate using Bio Oil with a passion! I hated feeling 'greasy' and then putting on my clean clothes for the day ahead. I use this on my stretch marks and on the back of my legs once every night before I go to bed. Again, it has been working wonders.

What do you use for your body care?
