The Two Newest Additions to my Skincare Routine

olay skin care products

olay serum review

olay regenerist review

I really wanted to try out some new skin care, so as Superdrug was doing a 2 for 1 offer on Olay skin care products, I obviously went ahead with the offer.

I've never used a facial serum or any anti-aging product before. This serum comes in a small red bottle with an easy to use pump which you twist to open or lock. The product is shimmery white in colour and it absorbs really quickly. You can see the difference within about two weeks - t3he skin is firmer and the visibility of my fine lines under my eyes is reduced. I like to use this before I apply my moisturiser.

olay featherweight moisturiser review

I was expecting the bottle of this moisturiser to be bigger but it's no big deal. The bottle has a golden tone colour to it and again, it has the same style of pump as the serum. You don't need much product to cover your face as it spreads quite evenly. It definitely is light on the face and it absorbs quick too. This moisturiser is perfect for all skin types. I do find it to be quite an oily product, but I have oily skin and it hasn't made it any worse than it was before. My skin looks brighter and feels so much softer.

Have you tried any Olay products before?

My Current Drugstore Makeup Favourites

drugstore makeup reviews

Makeup Obsession Highlighter - 'Moon'
Need an amazing affordable highlighter? Look no further! After seeing a few British YouTubers rave about this, I just had to get it and try it out for myself. This shimmery white highlight is so pigmented and it's only £3! I find that it's long-lasting too, which is a bonus for such a cheap highlight.

Freedom Brow Promade - 'Soft Brown'
This has also been known as a dupe of Anastasia Beverly Hills brow promade. This is a very creamy product and a little goes a long way, you don't need much product on your brush to fill in your brows. It's soft and easy to blend and work with. The product lasts all day and keeps the brow hairs in place. I've never found this product to smudge or move at all. For just £5, I think it should be worth more.

NYX Lingerie Liquid Lipstick - 'Bedtime Flirt'
I had been bursting to try out the Lingerie lipsticks for absolutely ages! This shade is a nude pink/mauve colour. I would suggest that you exfoliate your lips before applying this as you can get that horrible 'dry, cracked lips look'. It glides on smoothly but it's quite tacky whilst waiting for it to dry. I have found it to be long-lasting and stay on whilst eating and drinking although it goes quite patchy after around 4-5 hours. It doesn't dry my lips out at all like some people say it does - the only reason I have in mind is because I don't wear it every day. This is the perfect matte nude every day lip colour.

Ardell Demi Wispies
I'm sure everyone has heard of these famous lashes. I had seen so many people rave about these, I finally tried them out for the first time last month. I love every thing about them - they're not too long, they look natural but also give that 'glam' look, very lightweight, full, soft and feathery. They blend beautifully with your own natural lashes. The glue is great, although it's in a tube so it can get quite messy. These lashes last all day and night - they are quite tricky to get off. But these are by far my favourite lashes of all time!

Lush Sex Bomb Review

lush bath bomb review

Ok, so I am a little late to try out this bath bomb, as always. I swear I'm always the last one jumping on the bandwagon to try out Lush products. Anyway, I've been super excited to throw this in the bath and jump in. Just look at how pretty it is! Sex bomb has just two colours involved, the girly pink and purple. There's also an adorable pink rose sitting in the middle of it which makes it a hundred times prettier. I love floral scents anyway, so smelling this made me love it even more. It smells so sweet and florally and it lingers around the bathroom and on the skin for a good few hours after.

Lush states: "The fragrant blend of jasmine, ylang ylang and clary sage will soon have you relaxed and feeling in the mood. Jasmine is an ancient aphrodisiac, used as a sensual perfume in India for centuries and in aromatherapy to ease stress and anxiety. Clary sage clears the mind, whilst ylang ylang is known for soothing worries." Knowing about this description, I instantly felt satisfied as I suffer with anxiety and I have been feeling quite stressed and worried at the moment.

lush bath bombs review

The bomb fizzed out pink and purple but turned my bath water to just a pretty pink colour. It was very relaxing and moisturising for my skin. I'd definitely buy this again, it has to be one of my favourite products from Lush. Buy it here for £3.50.
