It's been a Big Weekend!

Hello lovelies!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far.
If you follow me on my instagram and twitter, you would probably know what I've been doing for the past weekend.

As it has been such an exciting and tiring weekend, I thought that I would share a few snaps of what I have been up to.

I managed to get tickets to Radio 1's big weekend in Norwich. I decided that I wanted to go on the Sunday mainly because Taylor Swift was already released as the first act.

I want to apologise for the quality of the pictures. I took all of these on my iPhone 5S and I now regret not taking my camera. The videos that I took focused a lot more than the photos. The last photo of Taylor performing was a video. As we were so far back, we couldn't really see her properly but I tried to take the best screenshot I could of it and managed to get her!

Most of the time I was quite near the front (apart from Taylor Swift.)
Olly Murs brought on a special guest 'Ella Eyre' to sing 'Up' with him instead of Demi and she done a fantastic job!

However, it did rain quite a bit but I didn't mind, it's only a little bit of rain, right?
That's when I realised that I tanned the night before. (Covers face) But everything was fine!

I would love to see all of these again, I loved every minute of it!

Yet again, I have taken these photos with my iPhone 5S. They didn't turn out too bad though.

These two last photos we're obviously not taken by me. They were facing my way when they were celebrating and I videoed it. But, I couldn't get very good screenshots so I thought I'd find a much clearer picture.

So, I started bank holiday Monday off with a selfie.
If you know me quite well then you would know that I'm quite a big football fan for my cities team; Norwich City.

Norwich City FC has just come down from the Premier League to the Championship.
We had to play in a play-off final at Wembley against Middlesbrough. It was hard getting tickets but I'm so glad that I got the chance to go. I may never get that chance again and to see us win, well... that turned into such a fantastic atmosphere! 2-0 to the Canaries!

Our team has worked so hard this season and I'm so proud that I have been there supporting them all the way. We're now going back up to the Premier League and I couldn't be more happier.

What are your plans for this weekend?

Festival Outfits - What to wear + tips

Hello lovelies!

As I am going to a festival very soon, I was stuck on ideas on what to wear.
I thought, surely other people feel the same.

But, I decided to spend hours looking at different online stores to get a rough idea on what I could wear. So... helping myself out and also helping you out, I came up with these and decided to make a post!

Before I get into that, I would like to share a few of my festival tips with you.

1. Wear comfortable shoes, you may regret it if not! You may see some shoes below that look uncomfortable but I personally find them comfy.

2. Take an over shoulder bag instead of holding a bag. It will just get in the way and it will be much easier having your hands free.

3. Keep your valuables safe. If they're in your bag, make sure that they're in a zip part inside the bag. I always get conscious anywhere I go in-case somebody pickpockets.

4. Take anti-bacterial hand sanitiser. You don't know how handy this can be, even after using a portaloo I don't feel clean.

5. Take a rain-mac. Just in-case the weather decides to ruin your day! If not, take an umbrella.

6. Don't wear white. Ok, I say the word 'don't' and if you look down below you will see a few items that are white. The festival I'm going to is quite local and I know that it won't be too muddy as I've been before. Also, I don't mind them getting messy so if this sounds like you, then ignore this one!

7. Invest in some sunglasses! I hardly ever wear sunglasses apart from festivals. You cannot see a thing if you don't get a pair!

8. Keep warm. Yes it may be quite warm throughout the day but bear in mind that the evening will get chilly.

Now for the outfits! I came up with four different looks that I'd wear to a festival.

Sunglasses - Monsoon
Boots - New Look
Tan Poncho - River Island
Floral Bag - Miss Guided

Ripped Coral Jeans - ikrush
Aviator Sunglasses - Accessorize
White Strappy Wedges - She Likes
Patterned Kimono - H&M
White Fringed Bag - Miss Guided
White Double Strap Bralet - Miss Guided

Black Fringed Bag - New Look
Pom Pom Crop Top - Boohoo
Blue Frayed Shorts - Pretty Little Thing
Printed Tassel Kimono - Boohoo
Black Boots - H&M
Sunglasses - Boohoo

Black High Waisted Jeans - New Look
Sunglasses - Boohoo
White Crop Top - ikrush
Crochet Panel Backpack - New Look
White Heeled Sandals - Ego
Palm Leaf Print Kimono - New Look

If you have any festival tips feel free to share them below!

What's in my make-up bag?

whats in my makeup bag

Hi lovelies!

Not that long ago, I done the 'What's in my bag' tag and my make-up bag is actually included in that post. I loved the idea of doing the make-up bag tag so here it is!

ted baker makeup bag

ted baker makeup bag

I got this Ted Baker make-up bag from my parents quite a few years back. I think that it may have been for my 15th or 16th birthday. That was quite a while ago and I can't believe that it's still in such good condition!
Can I just point out the black and pink - I personally think they're gorgeous colours together. If you know me well, you would know that I love bows so I was extremely happy when I opened this present. Just look at that zip too (I think I'm still in love with it - you may have guessed.)

Before I get started, this is going to be a long post - so grab a drink and some snacks before carrying on.

Ok, so this is what is in my make-up bag!

whats in my makeup bag blog post

Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder- I have been using this for years! And by years, I mean since I was about 12. I never ever used to wear foundation as a young teenager believe it or not. I always used to wear eyeliner, mascara and this exact pressed powder. I don't actually think that I've tried any other brand or shade of pressed powder (CONFESSION!)

Rimmel London Scandaleyes Mascara- I swear by this mascara! It is one of my favourites and always will be. I just love the size of the brush and how long it lasts.

Tweezers- I think these are called 'Slanted Tweezers.' I'm not sure but I think that's what it says on the packet when I buy them. I just buy these from Sally's. These are really handy to have in your make-up bag - especially when your eyebrows are growing out.

Rimmel London Wake Me Up Concealer- Most of the concealers I've bought and tried have been too orange for me as I am so pale so I had to give them to my sister. I have this in the shade 'Ivory' and I have got to tell you that it is the perfect match to my skin! Yay!

Rimmel London Lasting Finish Primer- Ok so, I wanted a good primer and I just went for one by Rimmel. I've got to say that I don't get on too well with this. I feel like it doesn't really make a difference to the appearance of pores (like it's meant to.) And I have really big pores (I hate it, any advice anyone!?) But it's first time for everything and it's just not for me. It's always handy to have in there though.

Max Factor Lasting Performance Foundation- I'm sure that I have this in the lightest shade which is 'fair.' It's the perfect colour for me and it applies so easily. It's honestly better than all of the other foundations I've tried.

Ok, I knew that I owned a LOT of Rimmel products but writing this post, I've just now realised how ridiculous this looks. Oh well, you can tell how much I love Rimmel!

Rimmel London Brow This Way- This is brow styling gel and I do love this product! But please bear in mind that when you are using it for the very first time that you will have a lot of product on your brush. Yes I know it sounds like common sense, right? But I didn't think of that at the time and just wanted to get it on my brows. The only thing is that it runs out quite quickly. I do have some product left in the tube but I have new brow products now - it's just in there if I ever need it. (You never know!)

New Cid Cosmetics I-Groom Pencil- If you don't know what this is, it's an eyebrow pencil. I have done a review on this quite a while ago but you can go and check it out here. It is honestly the best eyebrow tool I have ever used. I recommend this to anyone and everyone who wants perfect brows!

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser- So, my younger sister told me about this product and she let me have a go with hers and I fell in love! It's absolutely brilliant and I went out and bought myself one. It minimises the appearance of your pores. I am so happy with this product as I have huge pores and I have always struggled to make them less visible. They're still hard to hide using this but it definitely helps!

NYC High Definition Liquid Eyeliner- So.. I've had this for ages.. yes, ages. I love this because it's a felt liquid eyeliner and not a brush. So it's much easier for me to control. I don't wear liquid eyeliner a lot - maybe that's why it's still hanging around in my bag.

Cotton Buds- I always have a few of these in my make-up bag just in case any mascara smudges or eyeshadow. Cotton buds are always handy for make-up.

Soft Kohl Black Pencil Eyeliner- Like my pressed power, I have also been using this for years! I just love this eyeliner and I love to touch up on it half way through the day.

Thank you for reading and if anyone has any tips on hiding huge pores or getting rid of them forever then feel free to help me out in the comments below!

The Beauty Blogger Tag

the beauty blogger tag
I actually made this photo myself (hooray!)

So today I thought that I would do the beauty blogger tag!

I haven't actually been nominated to do this, but I've seen so many of these posts and I've loved every single one. Quite a lot of the beauty blogger tags are different but I came across this one when I decided that I wanted to give it a go.

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
Neither. It's naturally wavy.

2. What is your natural hair colour?
A dark ginger.

3. Do you dye your hair yourself or go to a salon?
My auntie is a mobile hairdresser so she comes to my house and does it.

4. How often do you wash your hair?
Every other day. (e.g. if I wash it on a Monday, I'll next wash it on Wednesday etc.)

5. Do you wear the same style everyday or change it?
Near enough everyday. I'll only change it if I'm in the mood to.

6. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I used to go to a salon. But I am qualified in doing them and I've now stopped being lazy and I do them myself instead of going to a salon.

7. How often do you change your nail polish?
All the time! I actually need to stop doing it so often. (Yes, it's that often.)

8. Do you polish your toes in the winter, or just in the summer?
I normally do but if the polish ends up chipping then I'll wipe the polish off and leave them unpolished for ages until I can be bothered to re-do them.

9. How long does it take to put on your makeup?
It depends on how quick I want to get ready. Normally 25-40 minutes and I don't wear liquid eyeliner. Why do I take so long!?

10. What do you do first, face or eyes?
Face.

11. Do you 'collect' makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I buy what I need when I need it. (Normally last minute!)

12. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
Hardly ever. If I'm going to a special occasion or something like that then maybe. It depends what I feel like when I'm doing my make-up.

13. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
Yes! Unless I'm really ill and I'm staying at home all day.

14. Do you wear makeup when you are home alone or with family?
Both.

15. Will you leave the house without makeup?
No, never! Unless it's for a very good reason.

16. How many high end products do you have?
Have had or have now? If it's the products I have now then, 5! Probably not many compared to most people.

17. How often do you wash your makeup brushes?
This is a really hard question. When I feel like it haha!

18. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you are getting dressed?
I decide when I'm getting dressed unless I'm going somewhere important the next day.

19. How often do you change your handbag?
Hardly ever. Probably once or twice a year.

20. What time do you get up and go to sleep?
It depends what I'm doing. If I'm going to work I'll wake up at 7am. If I'm not doing anything then I normally wake up around 8am or 8:30am. (That's without an alarm, yes I'm a morning person!) Let me know if you're a morning person too, I feel alone!

If I have work the next day, I'll try and aim to get to sleep around 10pm or half 10pm because I always wake up tired. If I'm not doing anything the next day, then I'll go to sleep whenever I'm tired.

21. How often and when do you work out?
I used to work out like once a week - not including my ballet classes.
I never really stick to it. I think I need to go to fitness classes so when you're there, you can't stop. Whereas, when I'm at home, I'll sit down and have a rest and then can't be bothered to do anymore.

22. Left handed or right handed?
Right handed.

23. How tall are you?
5'1.

24. Do you speak a foreign language?
I want to say yes and no. I learnt Estonian and I still remember all the things I learnt. I don't know everything that's Estonian though. I would also love to learn Spanish! I know the simple 'hola' and stuff haha.

25. How many pets do you have?
1 cat and I love her so much!

26. How often are you on Blogger?
Most of the time. Every day I think.

27. Do you read the comments posted on your blog?
Yes! I love reading comments. It makes me so happy that I get comments and I always reply! (eventually)

28. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yes and then I go and buy them!

29. How did you come up with your blog name?
My first blog name was 'Simply Inspired' and the meaning behind it was that I was inspired to make a blog by other bloggers and I wanted to inspire other bloggers/readers. I don't know what the meaning is behind 'simply' though.

I ended up growing apart from the name 'Simply Inspired.' I felt like it didn't fit with my blog. I've sat down for days and hours writing down lists and lists of blog names for my blog but nothing 'clicked.' I ended up deciding that I wanted to call it Megan Elizabeth, which is my name. (Obviously)

30. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
Canon Powershot SX150 IS.
The only annoying thing is about this camera is that it's a battery camera and the battery life is absolutely ridiculous so I have to use re-chargeable batteries. Please someone tell me if I am able to buy a charger for my Canon camera!?

31. How often do you clean your house? (Daily, weekly, other?)
I live with my parents, so everyone cleans at different times. I clean my room every Sunday and on my days off I go round the house and do whatever needs to be done.

32. What is your favourite colour?
Pink and light blue are my favourites.

33. What is your favourite beauty/fashion magazine?
I don't really have a favourite beauty/fashion magazine. I don't really read magazines apart from the Ok! magazine. I prefer to read blogs to get fashion and beauty inspiration/ideas.

34. Do you swear?
Sometimes. Especially at football matches. I don't like doing it though.

35. What are you doing with the rest of your day?
Mondays are my day off so I normally spend time on my blog. Today I'm planning on working with my html (Wish me luck, haha!)

Feel free to do this tag yourself and you can use my amazing photo! Or you can answer a few of these questions in the comments below as I would love to know a little bit about you!

GET READY WITH ME! | Meal Out

Hello lovelies!

So, tonight I'm going out for a meal to have a huge catch up with my very oldest best friend!
Also, this is my very first GRWM post, so I hope you like it!

get ready with me

It's been a long day so I'm going to freshen up by taking off all my make-up and starting again.

I started off by washing my hair. I then used certain products in my hair to get it how I wanted to and then I simply dried it. Yes, I sometimes use dry shampoo once I've washed my hair if my roots are quite bad.

Starting with my face - I will be using Simple products. I will wash my face and then use a toner followed by moisturiser.
Next, I will use 'Maybelline Baby Skin' to reduce the appearance of my pores before applying my make-up.
I will now mix my normal skin shade foundation with my darker foundation as I tanned beforehand so I have to get the correct shade. (You don't want to go out with a very pale face and a tanned body.)

After applying my make-up I get changed. I was stuck on deciding between leggings and jeans. But I personally thought that the jeans looked more casual as I'm going for a meal.

So, I'll now move onto my hair and all I'm going to do is straighten it and give it a bit of volume and hairspray!

I then just go over the finishing touches to make sure that everything's looking good and then give myself a spray of Armani Code. (Which, by the way, smells absolutely gorgeous!)

May Wishlist

May wishlist

Hi lovelies!

As there are so many things that I have had my eye on lately, I thought that I would make a wishlist for this month. Ever since I found out that Sam Faiers was bringing out a book I was so excited. I love this woman so much and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I keep telling myself that I can't buy it yet because I'm still currently reading a book and I'll give my current book up and start reading my new one and I can't do that.

I have also been online clothes shopping and I have found quite a few lovely things that I would like to own myself. I just love the look of kimonos at the minute and with cute florally designs on them. But, I found this gorgeous black one with gorgeous lace detailing at the bottom and on a plus side - it goes with EVERYTHING because it's black!

I also own nothing which is Real Techniques and I need another foundation brush so I thought I'd check out the Real Techniques section in Superdrug and the price of this brush is so good!
I'm very fussy about sunglasses. It also doesn't help when I have a small face either because it narrows my choices down. But, I found these beautiful pair of sunnies from Monsoon. I just love everything about them. The colour also fits in with the spring/summer season.

Let me know your thoughts on any of the items I've mentioned.
Thanks so much for reading, I'll leave the links to the items below.

Teens Black Jersey Crochet Trim Kimono- New Look
