August Favourites

august favourites

Hello lovelies!

It's that time of the month again to pick out my favourite items which I've been using throughout August!

Lauren's Way Fake Tan-

laurens way fake tan review

I mentioned that I bought this tan in my end of the month haul in July. I have only ever used this once before and it gave amazing results, so I went and bought it again. This tan leaves me glowing and it is streak free, which is fab!

No7 Cleansing Body Polish-

I bought this out of boots for £9.99 but it is definitely worth the price! It smells so good and it really helps exfoliate ready for fake tanning. This is the best exfoliator I've ever used for both cleansing and for tanning. My skin feels so soft and smells so good after coming out of the shower. I'm going to be buying another one after this runs out!

Makeup Revolution Setting Spray-

I asked on twitter a few months back which setting spray is best. Bloggers replied with the normal fixing spray by Makeup Revolution. So I headed to their website and saw a new fixing spray for oily skin.

I bought this instead of the normal one, because I obviously have oily skin and wanted to give it a go. No, it doesn't control my oily skin but it does keep my makeup perfect all day every day. So to be honest, I would've been better off buying the normal setting spray instead of the 'oil fix' one.

No7 Makeup Brush Cleanser-

This is so easy to use just to quickly clean your brushes. It dries quickly and gets most of the product out of the brushes easily. I would say that this is my go to product and I absolutely recommend this to anyone who needs a fast and easy cleanser.

Makeup Revolution Eye Primer-

Believe it or not, for the price this really works! It keeps your eyeshadows perfect all day and night. I suffer with oily skin so I usually get creases on my eyelids easily, but this is great for me - no creases and my eyelids don't get oily anymore! Hurray!

This also keeps my eyeshadows vibrant. Amazing primer for a cheap price! My new fave!

Real Techniques Pointed Foundation Brush-

This brush is way too small for applying foundation but I use this to dab in my concealer. I don't usually use brushes for my concealer, but I thought that I should put this brush to good use and it works a treat!

Netflix-

netflix

I've been watching Netflix since May and I'm absolutely loving it! I've been watching so much of it - especially this whole month. Since I've had Netflix, I have been hooked to Pretty Little Liars. From May I have watched all six seasons of PLL and I couldn't get enough of it. Earlier this month was the season finale of PLL which meant I could watch more things on Netflix.

I am currently watching Mako Mermaids. How old am I? Who remembers H20 Just add water? It's basically the same, except a little different but I bloody love it!

What are your monthly favourites and what are you currently watching on Netflix?

My Everyday Make-Up Routine

Hello lovelies!

Today I am going to be sharing with you my current everyday make-up routine.
So lets jump straight in!

Firstly, I wash my face so it's clean for fresh make-up.
Then, I apply my toner and moisturiser from 'Simple.'

I then apply the 'baby skin' pore eraser from Maybelline to where my pores are most visible on my face. I wait a little for the moisturiser and the primer to dry before applying my foundation.

Moving onto my foundation, I use the 'Max Factor Lasting Performance' in the shade fair and I just apply that with my foundation brush. I then go in with my concealer under the eyes and on any spots that I may have and I just dab that in. I wait a little for the foundation and concealer to dry before setting it with my pressed powder from Rimmel London.

I then do my eyebrows using the 'i-groom pencil' by New Cid Cosmetics, which I have already done a review on, here. I then use the shade 'White Chocolate' in the 'Collection' palette to highlight my brow bone.
I then move onto using my eye primer from Makeup Revolution (which isn't in the photo) ready for my eyeshadow. I use different shades and palettes every day so I just decide on the day what sort of look I'm going for.

I then make a start on my mascara using Scandaleyes by Rimmel London and then apply my pencil liner also by Rimmel London.
I sometimes put a bit of gloss or lipstick on. I don't wear it everyday but somedays I do so I thought that I'd include it.

What's your everyday make-up routine? I'd love to see a post!

Hello lovelies!

I thought I would share my top 10 summer tunes that are on repeat, in my car right now.

So, in no particular order, lets get straight into it!

The first time I heard this song was at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Norwich and I instantly fell in love! It's just such a good summer tune!

taylor swift gif

Even though this song has been out a while, I still love it! Who can't get enough of Taylor Swift?

This song just reminds me of a party holiday in Ibiza or Marbella and I don't have a clue why! But it definitely cheers me up!

ariana grande gif

I've always been a big fan of Ariana Grande, since way back on Zoey 101 and Victorious. Even though I don't really understand the music video to this, her voice is just perfect and she's so cute!

When this song first came out, I never even heard of the singer. But, she's absolutely stunning and it's a top hit in the UK.

I cannot get enough of this song, I have this on repeat all the time. Ayoooo.

Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation Review

Hi lovelies!

Being pale and having extremely large pores, I'm always looking for that perfect foundation.

Even though I wash my face every single morning, tone, moisturise and apply my 'baby skin pore eraser' - foundation never covers my pores.

The 'Maybelline baby skin pore eraser' always manages to cover my pores. But until I apply my foundation - the pores just reappear. (sigh)

That's when I decided that I wanted to try a new foundation a little bit different to what I usually purchase.

So I headed straight to the Maybelline section of Boots. As I was scanning the foundations I spotted the 'poreless perfection' one. So I thought, why not give it a go?

maybelline dream satin liquid foundation review

I thought it was going to be too orange at first but once I blended it in, it looked so much better! It was incredibly easy to apply and the liquid isn't too thick or too runny so it's a manageable consistency.

I did find that blending in the foundation at my hairline was quite tricky. I found it so much easier using my fingers to blend.

I can say that this foundation does it's job, it covers pores up well! Although, you can still see my pores but only if you look very closely.

It's a great foundation and gives 100% amazing coverage.
It's a great foundation and yes I would buy it again.

Have you tried the dream satin liquid foundation? How did you like it?
