The Girl Behind The Blog | 30 Facts About Me

Hello lovelies!

Even though I am quite new to the blogging community, I feel like I've been doing it a while and I haven't shared much about myself to you guys.

So today, I'm going to let you dig a little more into my life and find out a bit more about the girl behind this blog!
1. I've had chicken pox twice.

2. The second time I had chicken pox, my foot got infected and it blew up. I couldn't wear shoes and now I have a small scar on my foot.

3. I'm a twin. I have a twin brother.

4. I hate spicy food.

5. My hair is naturally ginger.

6. I am a huge football fan for Norwich City!

8. I don't drink hot drinks such as tea or coffee. It's rare if I even have a mug of hot chocolate in my hand.

What I got for my 18th birthday!

Hello lovelies!

My birthday was on the 17th June. I never thought that this day would come, turning 18!

When I was younger, me and my best friend couldn't wait to grow up and be able to do what we wanted to. We always used to moan saying that we had to wait ages. To tell the truth, it's gone pretty quick and it's actually quite scary being 18.

Anyway, I'm now going to let you have a nose at what I got for my birthday.

I got this gorgeous Ted Baker bag from my parents. It isn't too big and it's not too small, so it's the perfect size! The inside of the bag is very spacious as there is no storage at all in the bag. Although, it did come with a clutch bag which was attached to the metal hook things. So I could use that for storage as well as taking it out on a night out.

I got some beautiful jewellery for my 18th! My sister bought me a Pandora ring, it's my first ever item that I own from Pandora (yay!) I also got a Guess ring from a close friend of the family. The diamond in the middle of the heart sparkles so much under light. I also got two very expensive necklaces too. From my parents, I got the Links of London necklace which matches my bracelet that I got for my 16th. From my aunties, I got the Tiffany & Co necklace which matches my earrings that I also got for my 16th birthday.

I got some lovely things for 'me time' and I just cannot wait to try each one of these out!
My boyfriend's grandparents bought me the cute cupcake bath bombs. They're all so pretty and they have their own cute names, I can't wait to try these out! My sister also got me some things from Lush. I have so so much to try out and they all smell so good. Keep updated for Lush posts!!

Ok. So it looks like two people had the same idea about the '18' frames but I love how different both of them are. I was easily amused by these as I loved reading all the words that relate to me. I also got a signature frame which most people signed without me knowing. I realised that only half of my family have signed it, not including my friends and other family. The frame is just not big enough, but I keep reading the little messages over and over again. I love it!

So, every year I think I get a birthday mug with my age on and I don't even drink hot drinks. But, they're nice to keep. Also, I am in love with the champagne glass and the sequins on the number 18. I haven't yet had a drink out of it but it won't be long.

I mentioned to my mum that I liked a couple of pairs of shoes from New Look and wanted her opinion on which ones to buy for my birthday night out. So, I took her into New Look and we went with these ones. They look gorgeous on by the way! As I was about to pay, mum managed to hand over the money before I even opened my purse. (There's always someone like that.) So, I told her that they were for my birthday.

I got a few random bits and bobs from my parents too. The 18 glasses, bobbly headband, banner and shot glass. Also, I got a number of badges. I must admit, I couldn't hardly see a thing out of those glasses.

A few more things I got for my birthday but didn't snap:

- Spa Day for two.
- '18' Tatty Teddy: I already have '13' and '16' one's, so why not add to my birthday collection?
- Boux Avenue underwear.
- A gift set of Beyonce perfume.
- Keyrings: I also get the birthday age key rings every year too.
- Photoshoot: I have a Boudoir photoshoot on Wednesday which my nanny paid for me to have done. Looking forward to it but a bit nervous.
- A Holiday: My boyfriend spoilt me to a weeks holiday to Centerparcs and we are going very soon. The 29th June! (ah!)
- £40 Tattoo Voucher.
- £20 shopping mall voucher.
- £245 in money: and I don't know what to spend it on yet.

Just to let you know, you may or may not know.. I am a twin. I have a twin brother, but he sadly passed away at birth. Every single day I wish he was here - especially on our birthday. But as well as celebrating mine we celebrate his too.

I do admit, I was quite spoilt for my birthday and I'm a very lucky girl. I appreciate everything that everyone has got me and I will never ever forget my 18th birthday!

Beauty Brands I Wouldn't Mind Trying

Hello lovelies!

I came across a blog post like this the other day, and it made me think about beauty brands that I haven't yet tried myself but would love to. So, I decided to write my very own list.

always walk into House of Fraser and always stop at the Bobbi Brown counter. There is just so much that catches my attention. I have noticed every time, their lip products call my mums name. So I now know what to get her for her birthday or christmas - which is a bonus!

Too Faced is popular for their eyeshadow palettes. I have had my eye on some of their products for a while - particularly the eyeshadow palettes. Although, one of the main products I would like to try are the mascaras. I haven't noticed anyone rant as much about the mascaras as other products from Too Faced. So I'd definitely give them a try. Also, in my opinion I think that they have the cutest packaging design ever.

I've known about this brand for a while now. One great thing is that the products are very affordable. I know that I will get round to buying some products from Kiko eventually. Especially after reading great reviews and hauls.

I have been subscribed to a few american YouTube gurus and for ages, they have been going on and on about Sephora. I have been thinking about getting the make-up brushes from here as all I hear is good reviews about them. If only they had a Sephora in the UK. (sigh)

Ok, I think every beauty blogger owns something Nars apart from me. But, can I just point out that I love the company logo! I believe that this is one of the most talked about beauty brands. I have never tried anything Nars, but I would love to. Especially their foundation - if anyone has a review on Nars foundation, please let me know! I would love to know more!

Again and again I have been recommended Anastasia Beverly Hills for my eyebrows. Once I checked out the website, I fell in love with almost everything. Even though it's quite pricey, so many people have been talking about it. Too bad that this is another fantastic brand in the US as I'd have to pay for shipping. But after lots of recommendations and good reviews, I reckon it's totally worth it.

Do you own anything from these brands? If not, what brands would you like to try?

Summer 2015 Wishlist

summer wishlist

Hello lovelies!

With summer now here I had to make a summer wishlist! On the plus side, I can't believe the amount of good weather we've had recently.

As I'm very pale, I like to have a tan in the summer months, like everyone else. But, I don't tan that easily. So, I like to have a fake tan and it also gives a lovely glow. Cute accessories like sunglasses and anklets makes me feel so much more summery too. I always find it hard to find the perfect pair of sunglasses to suit my face. I have quite a round face - as much as I love all the huge sunglasses, they just don't suit me.

I've also been loving crop tops and bralets recently, they go with everything! I'm also loving white and pastel colours for the summer. I went into New Look the other day and I saw these gorgeous white heels. I thought that they'd look lush with a crop top and some cute shorts or a maxi dress. I'm definitely thinking about going back to the store and buying these heels.

I will leave direct links below to everything listed in the picture above, just in-case you would like to add any of these to your summer wishlist.

Peachy Passionfruit Body Spray - Superdrug
Pink Crochet Crop Top - Miss Pap
Lipstick 'Lovestruck' - Topshop
St Moriz Tanning Mousse - St Moriz
Cheryl Eyelure Lashes - Superdrug
VO5 Tame and Shine Spray - Boots
Kerry Silver Tone Watch - Michael Kors
Daisy Scrunchie - Topshop
Anklets - Accessorize
Tortoise Sunglasses - Miss Guided
White Caged Platform Heels - New Look
Lee Stafford Argan Oil - Boots

Are you ready for summer?
