Casual Black & White

I haven't done an outfit post in sooo long! I've been wanting to do quite a few but I never time it right with the British weather and our garden was also in the process of being re-done. After shooting the pictures for this post, I realised that I really missed it. So hopefully, I will be posting fashion posts more often because I luuurve it.

As it's the weekend (yay!), I'm wearing a casual outfit which you can wear day and night, you can easily dress it up or down. I'm wearing a simple black cami. I love the split at the side and how it's longer at the back, it's different to other camis I own. With this, I'm wearing skinny white jeans which I've turned up at the bottom to show off more of my shoes. These suede heeled sandals are very new to my wardrobe and I've been rocking these at the mo. I love the style, they're comfy and they go with pretty much every outfit. I'm using a clutch as it's a lot easier than a great big bag.

Currently On The Bathroom Shelf...

on the bathroom shelf

It was so hard to take decent photos for this post due to the lighting being behind my products. How annoying! Anyway let's ignore that, I'm going to mention what's currently on my bathroom shelf and maybe I'll make a series out of it.

First on the shelf is my body lotion from Ted Baker which I got for Christmas. Yep, I still haven't used it up! Mainly because it smells amazing and I just don't want to part with it. Let's hope to get some more this Christmas. Next is my No7 body exfoliator, I only use this prior to fake tanning. This is very gentle for my sensitive skin and it smells absolutely wonderful. I feel so refreshed and brighter after... until I slap on my tan.

When I saw the Pinita Colada range come out at The Body Shop early this Summer, I just had to get something. All of their new range smells gorgeous and Summery. I have been using this every time I have a shower/bath. I just can't get enough of it, I will definitely be buying some more.

Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush is another Summery body wash. If you love citrus scents, then you will need to buy yourself one of these. It's such a strong smell but it's not too much. Honestly, the bathroom smells of limes afterwards.
I'm usually a sucker for Herbal Essences but since my sister has been using these Tresemmé hair products, I couldn't resist giving them a go myself. With coconut milk and aloe vera included, I bet you can already smell the goodness of my hair. They simply do the job.

I have recently come across Garnier Ultimate Blends. When my hair is feeling a little dried out, I will use it as a deep conditioning treatment to get the moisture back. I use this twice a week after shampooing my hair and leave it to work for five minutes and then rinse it off. I have gone through this very quickly so I'm glad that this is sold at such a reasonable price.

Only £9 for a High-End Lipstick!?

urban decay lipstick

Over a month ago, someone tweeted that the revolution lipsticks on the Urban Decay website went down from £15.50 to £9 just for that day, how good is that!? If I remember rightly, I think it was something to do with bank holiday (which was ages ago, sorry it's late!) So of course I headed straight to their website. There was so many colours to choose from, I didn't have a clue what colour to buy as I personally like swatching them before buying. In the end, I decided on 'strip' because nude lipsticks are my fave and of course I needed another one. On another up, the delivery was FREE! Oh and did I mention that I also got a free sample size original eye primer. Urban Decay, why are you so nice? Not that I'm complaining, I only paid £9 on the Urban Decay website... what the hell!

When it arrived, I was so excited. I had never tried Urban Decay lipsticks before. Mainly because I personally think that they're so pricey for a lipstick. But at just £9, you can't go wrong. As soon as I took it out of its packaging, I was even more thrilled! The metallic chrome design and wavy texture pulled me in. When you take the cap off, the product itself is sitting in a metallic purple shell which is so pretty. Also, I've never held a lipstick that's so weighty before.

I absolutely love the consistency. It's so creamy and easy to apply as it just glides on. I did think that the 'nude' colour I was expecting was different to my usual preference. It's more of a dark nude but it's a lovely colour and after wearing it a few times, I eventually got used to it. I don't normally go for dark lips but I'm trying to build my confidence to go for them shades. This lipstick is highly pigmented, to be honest I would be surprised if it wasn't. It lasts a good few hours, although after eating and drinking I do have to do a little touch up. Overall, I love this lipstick and I'll have to get more. Hopefully UD does some more offers soon!

What do you think of Urban Decay lipsticks?

What I got for my 18th birthday!

Hello lovelies!

My birthday was on the 17th June. I never thought that this day would come, turning 18!

When I was younger, me and my best friend couldn't wait to grow up and be able to do what we wanted to. We always used to moan saying that we had to wait ages. To tell the truth, it's gone pretty quick and it's actually quite scary being 18.

Anyway, I'm now going to let you have a nose at what I got for my birthday.

I got this gorgeous Ted Baker bag from my parents. It isn't too big and it's not too small, so it's the perfect size! The inside of the bag is very spacious as there is no storage at all in the bag. Although, it did come with a clutch bag which was attached to the metal hook things. So I could use that for storage as well as taking it out on a night out.

I got some beautiful jewellery for my 18th! My sister bought me a Pandora ring, it's my first ever item that I own from Pandora (yay!) I also got a Guess ring from a close friend of the family. The diamond in the middle of the heart sparkles so much under light. I also got two very expensive necklaces too. From my parents, I got the Links of London necklace which matches my bracelet that I got for my 16th. From my aunties, I got the Tiffany & Co necklace which matches my earrings that I also got for my 16th birthday.

I got some lovely things for 'me time' and I just cannot wait to try each one of these out!
My boyfriend's grandparents bought me the cute cupcake bath bombs. They're all so pretty and they have their own cute names, I can't wait to try these out! My sister also got me some things from Lush. I have so so much to try out and they all smell so good. Keep updated for Lush posts!!

Ok. So it looks like two people had the same idea about the '18' frames but I love how different both of them are. I was easily amused by these as I loved reading all the words that relate to me. I also got a signature frame which most people signed without me knowing. I realised that only half of my family have signed it, not including my friends and other family. The frame is just not big enough, but I keep reading the little messages over and over again. I love it!

So, every year I think I get a birthday mug with my age on and I don't even drink hot drinks. But, they're nice to keep. Also, I am in love with the champagne glass and the sequins on the number 18. I haven't yet had a drink out of it but it won't be long.

I mentioned to my mum that I liked a couple of pairs of shoes from New Look and wanted her opinion on which ones to buy for my birthday night out. So, I took her into New Look and we went with these ones. They look gorgeous on by the way! As I was about to pay, mum managed to hand over the money before I even opened my purse. (There's always someone like that.) So, I told her that they were for my birthday.

I got a few random bits and bobs from my parents too. The 18 glasses, bobbly headband, banner and shot glass. Also, I got a number of badges. I must admit, I couldn't hardly see a thing out of those glasses.

A few more things I got for my birthday but didn't snap:

- Spa Day for two.
- '18' Tatty Teddy: I already have '13' and '16' one's, so why not add to my birthday collection?
- Boux Avenue underwear.
- A gift set of Beyonce perfume.
- Keyrings: I also get the birthday age key rings every year too.
- Photoshoot: I have a Boudoir photoshoot on Wednesday which my nanny paid for me to have done. Looking forward to it but a bit nervous.
- A Holiday: My boyfriend spoilt me to a weeks holiday to Centerparcs and we are going very soon. The 29th June! (ah!)
- £40 Tattoo Voucher.
- £20 shopping mall voucher.
- £245 in money: and I don't know what to spend it on yet.

Just to let you know, you may or may not know.. I am a twin. I have a twin brother, but he sadly passed away at birth. Every single day I wish he was here - especially on our birthday. But as well as celebrating mine we celebrate his too.

I do admit, I was quite spoilt for my birthday and I'm a very lucky girl. I appreciate everything that everyone has got me and I will never ever forget my 18th birthday!
