Lounging in Lockdown with Femme Luxe

As you can imagine, I'm forever living in loungewear at the minute, how can I not? With not being able to go anywhere and no reason to get dressed up, I am living for lounging around in my comfies. Femme Luxe Finery got in touch with me and very kindly gifted me a few loungewear pieces which I picked out myself.

The first set I picked is this Cailleigh stone cropped loungewear set*. This set comes in five other colours and I'm not going to lie, I was torn between stone, khaki, and black. The colour of this set actually looks a lot lighter on the Femme Luxe site. In person it's more on the yellowy side but I really don't mind because it still looks amazing and I'd probably say this is my absolute favourite out of the three I've picked. The inside of the hoodie and joggers has a thick, soft lining which is super cosy and comfy. I love that the hoodie is cropped too, you can use the drawstring at the side to keep it loose or bring it in tighter. The cropped look just gives the set that something extra.

The next set that caught my eye was the Zuri black cropped cargo loungewear set*. I was drawn to it because it's different, I'd never seen a set like it before and I just really liked the style of it. The colour choice is slightly more limited with only three other colours to choose from. The style of the layered, cropped hoodie was what attracted me at first and with the zip and the collar, I personally think it's a cool and chic style. Like the first set, it has a drawstring to pull it tighter or keep it loose, you can also tuck the drawstring in or leave it out.

Lastly, is the Blake grey off the shoulder loungewear set*. This set has a really great colour range with six other colours to choose from. I was a little wary when I pulled this out of the packaging because I noticed the material was thinner and tighter than the other two sets. I was worried that my massive thunder thighs wouldn't squeeze into the joggers, honestly I was surprised when I pulled myself into them. Even though the material is thin, they're not see-through at all and as they're more on the fitted side than baggy, they have a really good stretch to them and I actually found them extremely comfy.

All three sets are just perfect and easy for lounging about the house, running errands on your days off, dressing them up or wearing them as a cute, comfy airport outfit. Currently, all of their loungewear collection is on sale, so definitely go and check it out.

*Products marked with (*) have been gifted. As always, my reviews and opinions are completely honest and my own.

A Payday Wishlist

payday wishlist

I am so excited for pay day to come around this month! I feel like all I've been doing these past few months is booking and buying things for the wedding. As I have had my eye on so many things recently, I've decided that I'll actually treat myself this time around.

How gorgeous are these white Ted Baker heels?! And YES, they're expensive... £139. To be honest, I don't think I've ever spent this much money on a pair of shoes. But, I have been searching high and low for bridal shoes and can't find any that I actually like apart from these. I am still debating whether to give in and buy these or just wait to see if I find anything cheaper. Another pair of shoes I'd love to add to my wardrobe are these wedges from River Island. I loved their wedges last year but I left it waaay too late and they were all sold out by the time I went on holiday.

I swear by my all time fave Bondi Sands tan, but I was actually recommended this certain tan lotion from Rosi on Instagram. Her tan has been looking flawless recently and she had mentioned that she uses bBold tan, which I've never even heard of! For only £14.95, I will definitely be giving this a go. After trying the Nars all day luminous weightless foundation, I really want to give the Estee Lauder double wear a whirl! I've realised that paying a little bit extra for a foundation does pay off.

As for my hair, it has been needing some hella TLC at the moment. I don't know why but it feels so damaged and dry. LUSH is always a winner with their products. So I found a treatment and a conditioner - what more will my hair want?!

What's on your pay day wishlist this month? Let me know if you've tried the bBold tan too!

A/W 2018 Wardrobe Wishlist

autumn and winter wishlist 2018

My favourite time of the year is here! Call me crazy, but I love the colder, darker mornings and evenings. There are so many cute pieces about in stores for this season so I had to make a wishlist because I want everything!

You can't not have a thick knitted jumper this time of the year. This one from River Island particularly caught my eye. I just love the quality of the material and how big the roll neck is. Buy it here for £36. Another staple I'm loving this season is leopard print, it's everywhere you go. I love the style of this tie front top, you can style it both down and up. Buy it here for £18. Keeping along the lines of leopard print, I saw these heeled boots on MissPap, aren't they just gorgeous!? They're perfect to add a little something else to an outfit. Buy them here for £25.

I had a black poncho like this grey one last year and I basically lived in it, get it here for £17.99.
I wanted another basic jumper in my wardrobe and I found this gorgeous grey off the shoulder one from Pretty Little Thing, buy it here for £15. Yellow is everywhere this season and I love it, I don't know why because I don't really wear yellow but I saw this kimono on Boohoo and added it straight to my wishlist. Get it here for £12. Whilst I was on the Boohoo site, I saw this fur hooded cream coat for £45 which is so good! I have been on the lookout for a white/cream coat for ages as I always stick to wearing black. Buy it here.

Since writing this wishlist, I have already went out and bought this mustard skirt. It's amazing quality and fits so nice. Plus, it gives me aaall the Clueless vibes. Get it here for £9.99. Staying along the lines of the checked patterns, because I always wear white, grey and black, this jacket would be perfect! I'd most probably wear it all the time. It looks so cosy too. Get it here for £85. I love the look of this monochrome twisted jumper, it would look lush with a pair of high waisted jeans and some boots. Buy it here for £20.

I really don't need anymore ankle boots but River Island stocks the best Winter boots! I saw these suede Chelsea boots with the black patent and gold detailing and I fell in love. Buy them here for £40. Burgundy is always a must have colour for this time of the year, and this cropped striped hoody would be perfect with some high waisted jeans and trainers. Buy it here for £15.

What have you had your eye on ready for the new season?

How To Style a Sheer Top

how to style sheer

So, I'm back with an outfit post, o.m.g - the nerves. As much as I love blogging about fashion, it fucking scares me every time I see myself on the internet. As well as that, I always feel ever so awkward going through the pictures and pick out so many flaws about myself. There's not many pictures that I keep - no matter how many are taken. It has taken me a while to learn how to love my body and the lumps and bumps that are a part of me.

I also apologise for being so MIA for the past month on my blog and social media. My nan was taken into hospital back in February and she's been really unwell since, so I've been doing endless trips back and forth up there. On a good note, I very recently achieved one of my goals that I wanted to smash this year and that was to get another job. I only found out two days ago that I got this job and I am still over the moon. You can read my other goals for 2018, here. Now that little life update is over with, let's chat about everythaang you need to know about styling sheer.

how to style sheer blog post

how to dress up sheer

Sheer has been ever so popular in the fashion world since last year and I personally, never thought I would be able to rock it. But, you can style it SO many ways. I usually wear sheer on a night out or if I'm going for drinks etc. I personally don't have the confidence to wear sheer out and about during the day.

It's what's underneath that matters. I find that lacy pieces are much more flattering than just a plain black crop top/tube top or a bra/bralette. I always style my jeans and sheer top with this lace detailed crop top or if I'm feeling really confident and sassy (ha!), or depending on where I'm going, I wear a black laced bra under my sheer top instead.
The only time I won't wear a crop top underneath, is when I wear a high waisted skirt - just because I feel like there's too much going on. So, I just stick to my lacy black bra instead.

With sheer, you can wear any sort of shoes. If you want to dress it down, stick on some cute trainers, plimsolls or ankle boots. If you want to dress it up, heels work best. Although, these knee high boots look lush paired with the skirt.
You don't have to wear jewellery but I feel like it just completes the whole look. It can even be minimal. I always like to wear my ol' faithful hoops or my dangly earrings for when I'm going out because you can see them, whereas studs, you can't. A statement necklace would also go perfectly with a sheer top. Blazers and jackets look gorgeous with this outfit and can change the whole look. It can also 'cover you up a bit' if you're feeling a little unconfident. Let me know what you think of these outfits.

Jumper Dresses & Over The Knee Boots

jumper dress and over the knee boots blog post

I weren't 100% sure whether to publish this post or not. Although I am in the process of trying to lose weight and tone my body up, I'm not in a completely happy place with my body at the moment. It's crazy how not being happy with your own body can make you feel so down and shit about yourself. I have put on quite a lot of weight in the past couple of months and trying to lose it all again this time of the year is a bloody nightmare.
However, I've got to stay motivated and determined and I will eventually get to where I want my body to be. But right now, this is who I am. I can't wait to look back on this post in a few months and (hopefully) see my progress.

Anyway, cracking on with my outfit... I have been loving over the knee boots and knee highs. Even though I love wearing them with my jeans, I love wearing them with my winter dresses even more. This dress is such a gorgeous colour - I bought it from Primark last year but I'm sure you can find a similar one around this time of the year. This dress is more of a thin jumper material and unexpectedly is really warm. These boots also keep me really warm too and they're super comfy.

Do you like the jumper dresses and knee boots trend?

Dressed for Autumn - Pinafore Dresses & Burgundy

Dress - H&M | Top - New Look | Tights - George at ASDA | Boots - River Island

Autumn and Winter are probably the only seasons of the year when I actually put effort into my outfits. I don't know why, but I love buying clothes this time of the year and it seems like so many other bloggers do too. Both my mum and I fell in love with this black buttoned pinafore dress in H&M last month, so we bought one each. We obviously don't wear them on the same days, although, would it be pretty cool if we did? It's highly unlikely though, as we have so many nice clothes between us.

You can wear this dress all year round which is what made me love it even more. I'm definitely going to wear it in the Spring and Summer months of next year! For now, I've put my fave burgundy top, tights and boots with the dress.

Credit to my boyfriend for taking these pictures. He's never used a camera before and he was getting all excited thinking he was some sort of pro photographer, haha.

Boux Avenue's Backless & Strapless Bra!

boux avenue backless and strapless bra review blog

Had enough of questioning yourself and googling whether or not this 'magic' bra works? I have just the answer you're looking for!
After buying a dress which was completely backless, I had limited options. I either buy boob tape and nipple covers or I buy a backless and strapless bra and hope for the best that it works. As it was a night out in the city, I really wanted something to support me but wouldn't unstick halfway through the night, (how awks would that be!). So I went for both options and bought the bra, boob tape and nipple petals just to be on the safe side.

The bra is already moulded into shape and it has clear, flimsy wings either side. It comes with two sets of replacement tape which you stick on the wings so you can wear the bra twice. You can buy some more replacement tape for the wings so you can make use of your bra again. It surprised me how sticky this tape is, it really works! Once the bra is on, you can't see the clear wings at all.

After a few hours, it had moved itself a little so I had to do a little bit of adjusting. By the end of the night, my bra was starting to unstick. Luckily I bought the boob tape and just stuck that vertically over the wings. I guess this happened because I got all sweaty after dancing all night. Boux Avenue also suggests to not wear moisturiser as the bra won't stick to your skin.

If you need a backless and strapless bra for a few hours, hell yeah go for it! The support from this bra was perfect for my size but if you have a bigger bust, I personally wouldn't purchase this. If you're thinking about buying one of these, I advise you to buy a size smaller than you usually wear, just because it'll fit and stick better. This bra comes in the colours nude and black and you have the option to buy it as a boost or as a normal bra. All items mentioned and pictured are from Boux Avenue.

A Pink & White Outfit for a Chilly November Day

november 2016 ootd blog post

pink ootd blog post

Firstly, I have a couple of things to update you on, a few posts ago I mentioned that my camera lens packed up on me. I still haven't got it sorted (boooo), so I'm relying on my iPhone 5S and my little old Canon Powershot, which both really aren't great so I apologise for that. Also, after having the same hairstyle for seven odd years, I really wanted a change. So, I had a full fringe cut in. It's not a major change but it's different and I like it. It took a bit of time to get used to but every one says they like it and that it suits me. Anyway, cracking on with the post...

As it has become a lot chillier recently, I have been pulling out my scarves and hats. I don't usually wear hats in the Winter, just because I don't think many hats suit me. But, after spotting this cute fluffy bobble hat in Lakesides Primark back in August (yes, I bought this in August), I just had to buy it. I adore how light pink and white look together. So to match my pink and white theme, I wore my pink slip on plimsolls from Topshop, they're super comfy. I love this outfit, so simple yet so cute.

Wardrobe Essentials You Need This A/W

autumn and winter wardrobe essentials

With the colder weather drawing in, I decided that I wanted to and needed to update my wardrobe. So, I've been shopping around and found some affordable essentials that you'll need this A/W. I noticed this black cape in River Island a couple of days ago and I just had to get it. Unfortunately it is one size but I'm tiny and surprisingly, it doesn't look ridiculous on me. I thought that it was perfect for when you're chilly but don't want to overheat in a coat. It is reversible and River Island also stocks it in the colour grey, which is also gorg! £30.00 Buy it here.

Who doesn't love cosy socks in the colder weather? I live in fluffy socks and slippers at this time of the year and these slipper socks from New Look are perfect. How cute are the little bobbles? New Look also sell these in a light pink colour. £9.99 Buy these here.
I don't usually wear hats in the colder months. Mainly because they make my hair messy and they don't suit me. But, I bought this particular one from Primark a few weeks back. It suits me so well and its such a lovely material and colour. Although, I was stuck between this one and the burgundy colour. To be honest, I could've got both for the affordable price. £2.50 Buy it here.

I love a nice cosy coat for this time of the year. Longline jackets are so in trend at the moment but I feel that not everybody loves them. But I love this one from New Look, I love the length and the faux fur and it just looks cute. £44.99 Buy it here.
Another bargain from Primark is this burgundy scarf. I am obsessed with the colour burgundy at the minute, I don't know what it is. Maybe it's because it's Autumnal and I'm all for that shit this year. I actually ended up buying this scarf in a light beige colour the other day. Unlucky for me, my Primark store didn't have the burgundy scarf in stock. But like my beige one, this is reversible which is always handy for different outfits. £5.00 Buy it here.

I have been wanting some knee high boots for ageeees. I just can't seem to find the perfect pair. I love these ones from River Island, they just go over the knee and look so lush on. I just wish they were knee length. But I love these anyway and you need to have a pair of knee high or over the knee boots in your wardrobe! £75.00 Buy them here.
I have been looking for jumper dresses everywhere. I must be really fussy because yet again, I don't seem to fall in love with any. I found this plain swing jumper dress from Boohoo and I was oh so pleased when I found it. It's exactly what I've been looking for. They're currently sold out in S/M so I'm gonna have to wait for this purchase. £15.00 Buy it here.

Lastly, you can never have too many boots. My boyfriend always says that I have too many shoes or he moans if I even glance at a pair whilst shopping. I saw these ankle boots from Miss Selfridge and fell in love. I bought a pair of ankle boots from there last year and they've lasted me so well. I love the suede and leather look and the gold detailing completes them. £45.00 Buy them here.

Casual Black & White

I haven't done an outfit post in sooo long! I've been wanting to do quite a few but I never time it right with the British weather and our garden was also in the process of being re-done. After shooting the pictures for this post, I realised that I really missed it. So hopefully, I will be posting fashion posts more often because I luuurve it.

As it's the weekend (yay!), I'm wearing a casual outfit which you can wear day and night, you can easily dress it up or down. I'm wearing a simple black cami. I love the split at the side and how it's longer at the back, it's different to other camis I own. With this, I'm wearing skinny white jeans which I've turned up at the bottom to show off more of my shoes. These suede heeled sandals are very new to my wardrobe and I've been rocking these at the mo. I love the style, they're comfy and they go with pretty much every outfit. I'm using a clutch as it's a lot easier than a great big bag.

The Perfect Summer Accessory

How is everyone enjoying the British 'Summer' weather at the moment? You wouldn't think we're in July. Yesterday, the weather was beautiful and by midday it decided to lash it down. Today is Summer weather... can anyone tell me where it's been hiding!? Due to this lovely sunshine, I've decided to write up this post all about the perfect Summer accessory you need.

Irals

Irals review

You can add an Iral* onto your bikini, flip flops or even bags or the straps of your favourite holiday dress. Irals are exclusively designed and made in Brazil which makes them even more interesting. I decided on the silver butterfly just because it's so dainty and easy to wear with any colour. I love how pretty and different it is. As you can see, you have to twist the accessory around the strap to fit it on. After wearing it all day, I didn't once feel that it was there.

It's so easy to just put on and take off your clothing when you want, it's perfect to add a little something extra to an outfit. Also, I am obsessed with how the accessory shimmers in the sunlight, I tried my very best to get a photo of it sparkling and I think I succeeded. You can get your Summer accessory from the Irals website.

Blogmas Day 18 : Black, White & a Hint of Gold

It's been a while since I last done a fashion post - mainly because I don't like how my camera takes the photos. Although, I quite like how these came out, hence why you're reading this now.

Who says that you can't wear skirts and tights in the Winter? I just love Winter fashion, it's my favourite. Today I'm wearing my white rollneck long sleeved top, my black skater skirt with my tights and my ankle boots.

GET READY WITH ME! | Meal Out

Hello lovelies!

So, tonight I'm going out for a meal to have a huge catch up with my very oldest best friend!
Also, this is my very first GRWM post, so I hope you like it!

get ready with me

It's been a long day so I'm going to freshen up by taking off all my make-up and starting again.

I started off by washing my hair. I then used certain products in my hair to get it how I wanted to and then I simply dried it. Yes, I sometimes use dry shampoo once I've washed my hair if my roots are quite bad.

Starting with my face - I will be using Simple products. I will wash my face and then use a toner followed by moisturiser.
Next, I will use 'Maybelline Baby Skin' to reduce the appearance of my pores before applying my make-up.
I will now mix my normal skin shade foundation with my darker foundation as I tanned beforehand so I have to get the correct shade. (You don't want to go out with a very pale face and a tanned body.)

After applying my make-up I get changed. I was stuck on deciding between leggings and jeans. But I personally thought that the jeans looked more casual as I'm going for a meal.

So, I'll now move onto my hair and all I'm going to do is straighten it and give it a bit of volume and hairspray!

I then just go over the finishing touches to make sure that everything's looking good and then give myself a spray of Armani Code. (Which, by the way, smells absolutely gorgeous!)

May Wishlist

May wishlist

Hi lovelies!

As there are so many things that I have had my eye on lately, I thought that I would make a wishlist for this month. Ever since I found out that Sam Faiers was bringing out a book I was so excited. I love this woman so much and I cannot wait to get my hands on it! I keep telling myself that I can't buy it yet because I'm still currently reading a book and I'll give my current book up and start reading my new one and I can't do that.

I have also been online clothes shopping and I have found quite a few lovely things that I would like to own myself. I just love the look of kimonos at the minute and with cute florally designs on them. But, I found this gorgeous black one with gorgeous lace detailing at the bottom and on a plus side - it goes with EVERYTHING because it's black!

I also own nothing which is Real Techniques and I need another foundation brush so I thought I'd check out the Real Techniques section in Superdrug and the price of this brush is so good!
I'm very fussy about sunglasses. It also doesn't help when I have a small face either because it narrows my choices down. But, I found these beautiful pair of sunnies from Monsoon. I just love everything about them. The colour also fits in with the spring/summer season.

Let me know your thoughts on any of the items I've mentioned.
Thanks so much for reading, I'll leave the links to the items below.
