My Soap & Glory Faves

soap and glory favourites blog post

I have been a huge lover of Soap & Glory for as long as I can remember. I made a list and narrowed my Soap & Glory favourites down to five, I don't know how but I managed to succeed. I have yet to try most of their products but for the ones I have tried, I admire almost every single one.

Sugar Crush Body Scrub - I don't know anyone who wouldn't want to try this out. This is probably the strongest smelling product I've smelt in all my life (in a good way). If you love sweet and citrusy smells then you will soon have a crush on this. After running out of my Sugar Crush body wash (which is exactly the same as this but it's a body wash instead of a scrub), I decided to use this product a lot more. I adore the lime smell which fills the bathroom and makes me smell lush all day.

I only use this once or twice a week due to it being quite harsh on the skin. But, it's the perfect exfoliator as it does the job to get rid of those ol' dead skin cells and it's a fab exfoliator for pre-tanning! After using this, I always feel so fresh. I think I'm gonna have to re-purchase the Sugar Crush body wash.

The Righteous Butter - I've been a fan of the Righteous Butter for a long time. It smells absolutely gorgeous which is why I like the brand itself as everything smells beautiful! It's not too thick or too creamy, it's just right. It doesn't take too long to absorb into the skin which is always good. It's a super moisturising product and I especially love using this after shaving my legs. It's terrific for dry skin and makes you feel so smooth and soft after. I guarantee that this will probably be my all time favourite body butter foreverrrrr.

Whipped Clean Body Butter - This product smells so creamy and also smells of vanilla. I LOVE vanilla, so presumably that's why I adore the smell and always smell myself after use. It does the exact same job as the Righteous Butter except, you use Whipped Clean in the shower instead. Again, it's fabulously moisturising and leaves me feeling soft. I don't have a clue when I'll run out of this as the tube is huge!

Heel Genius Foot Cream - This product is part of my foot-care routine. Because I'm a dancer and I stand on my feet almost all day wearing unsupportive ballet pumps, I need to take extra care of my feet. TMI but my feet are always so dry and I have hard skin too. This is where heel genius comes to the rescue! The product is very thick and it takes FOREVER to soak in.

Soap & Glory says to apply this when you go to bed and then put socks on. I can't sleep in socks. So, I apply this when I get home from work or when I have any free time and then put socks on. I try to avoid walking around the house whilst doing this as it feels so gross. But, it works, my feet are incredibly soft afterwards and they're super moisturised. P.S who else can't sleep with socks on?

Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Lip Crayons - I've owned these for ages, are they even still available on the shelves? These are simply lip glosses but crayons. I only use two out of the three colours as the orangey/red colour is way too bright for my liking. They don't stay on your lips all day and you will need to top up a few times throughout the day but the colours are gorgeous.

Is This Lip Plumper Worth The Spend?

lip plump review

soap and glory pillow plump

I'm quite happy with my lips as they are, but I really wanted to try this out to see what it was all about. I love the pink and black tube design and it's a much bigger tube than I expected. The applicator is literally like one of those lipglosses in the squeezy tube you owned when you were 7.

Soap & Glory Pillow Plump XXL says:
Our pillow plump formula has been injected with 3XL-peptide plump complex, components of which have been shown in in-vitro tests to help:

-increase levels of hyaluronic acid
-boost fat cells
-give an 'autoplump' built-in cushioning effect

soap and glory pillow plump review

It doesn't smell very nice at all. The product definitely gives your lips a tingling/buzz feeling which is how you know it's working. Pillow Plump clearly plumped my lips but as it was XXL, I was expecting to see much more of a difference. I have the clear gloss 'Clearvoyant,' which is a lovely shiny clear colour. The gloss is very thick and sticky which makes it hard to get an even coverage. This would probably be more of a problem if you had a coloured gloss as it would be more noticeable.

I personally think that this is very expensive for what it does and I wouldn't purchase another one. Have you tried Pillow Plump? How did it work for you?

Currently On The Bathroom Shelf...

on the bathroom shelf

It was so hard to take decent photos for this post due to the lighting being behind my products. How annoying! Anyway let's ignore that, I'm going to mention what's currently on my bathroom shelf and maybe I'll make a series out of it.

First on the shelf is my body lotion from Ted Baker which I got for Christmas. Yep, I still haven't used it up! Mainly because it smells amazing and I just don't want to part with it. Let's hope to get some more this Christmas. Next is my No7 body exfoliator, I only use this prior to fake tanning. This is very gentle for my sensitive skin and it smells absolutely wonderful. I feel so refreshed and brighter after... until I slap on my tan.

When I saw the Pinita Colada range come out at The Body Shop early this Summer, I just had to get something. All of their new range smells gorgeous and Summery. I have been using this every time I have a shower/bath. I just can't get enough of it, I will definitely be buying some more.

whats in my bathroom

Soap & Glory's Sugar Crush is another Summery body wash. If you love citrus scents, then you will need to buy yourself one of these. It's such a strong smell but it's not too much. Honestly, the bathroom smells of limes afterwards.
I'm usually a sucker for Herbal Essences but since my sister has been using these TresemmĆ© hair products, I couldn't resist giving them a go myself. With coconut milk and aloe vera included, I bet you can already smell the goodness of my hair. They simply do the job.

I have recently come across Garnier Ultimate Blends. When my hair is feeling a little dried out, I will use it as a deep conditioning treatment to get the moisture back. I use this twice a week after shampooing my hair and leave it to work for five minutes and then rinse it off. I have gone through this very quickly so I'm glad that this is sold at such a reasonable price.

Get Ready For Summer | Giveaway

summer giveaway

Hello you lovely lot, I am super duper excited to be writing this post! To kick off Summer 2016, I decided to host a little giveaway and making it sort of a celebratory post for hitting 200 followers on bloglovin recently. 200 people is a hell of a lot, so thank you everyone who is following my blog. Just to mention, I bought everything with my own money apart from the Coconut Lane voucher as stated below. Obviously as it's a Summer giveaway, I bought a few bits that I thought would be perfect for the Summer months. You will win...

  • £10 Coconut Lane E-Voucher - which Coconut Lane kindly contributed to this giveaway.
  • Makeup Revolution Redemption Palette Iconic 3 - I thought the shades were perfect for Summer. It wasn't until I got home that I realised that it's a dupe of the Naked 3 palette, haha.
  • Rimmel London Rita Ora 'Sweet Retreat' - I love Rimmel nail polishes, this is just the perfect pink.
  • Soap & Glory Clean Girls Body Wash - honestly though, who doesn't love Soap & Glory? I just had to include it.

Product Empties

As if I've stored empty products in my room for this post, but I love reading these type of posts so I thought, why not do one myself? I'm going to let you know what my opinion is on each of these products, my likes and dislikes and whether I'd buy them again or not.

Soap & Glory Speed Plump Moisturiser - I was a little weary about this product when I first got it as I have sensitive skin. I usually use a hydrating moisturiser from Simple but I thought that I'd give this a go. I'm so happy I gave this product a chance as it's so much better than I thought it would be. It's a very light moisturiser which makes my skin soft and feel instantly refreshed and hydrated. If you love scented products, you will love this! It smells fruity but it's not overpowering.

No7 Makeup Brush Cleanser - I bought this a few months ago. This is great for giving your makeup brushes a quick cleanse if you can't be bothered to deep clean them. I wasn't expecting to run out of the product so quickly, you obviously need enough product to give your brushes a good clean. I probably won't be buying this again, just because I ran out of the product so quick. I'll have to try another brand and see if I have the same problem.

Soap & Glory Feel Good Factor BB Cream - As you can see, I've squeezed this as much as I possibly could. I had never tried bb cream before until I got this, I don't know why. Who doesn't want primer, moisturiser and SPF all in one? Feel good factor does everything it's meant to apart from leaving little areas around my jawline dry and flaky (which was super annoying, by the way). It makes my makeup last all day and it hides my oily skin. I'd definitely buy this again.

Makeup Revolution Oil Control Fixing Spray - I've mentioned this product a few times on my blog. After everyone was all hyped up about Makeup Revolutions fixing spray, I decided to buy one myself. Due to my oily skin, I decided to not buy the original fixing spray, but to buy the new fixing spray - oil control. This is fantastic as a fixing spray itself but honestly, it doesn't control my oily skin at all. I might as well have bought the original fixing spray.

New Cid Cosmetics I-Groom Pencil - This is my go-to eyebrow product. It lasts me so long. This is my second eyebrow pencil since my first one in December 2014, impressive right? The colour isn't too dark or too light which is perfect for me.

5 Products I'd Buy Again

5 products i'd buy again

After writing '5 Products I'll Never Buy Again', I thought I should share with you 5 products that I would buy again and again.

Maybelline Baby Skin Instant Pore Eraser- I have been through a few of these and I love it! In my other post in relation to this one, I mentioned that I didn't get on with Benefit's porefessional. I do admit that this product works so much better for me, it gives me the poreless look I want. Also, it's so much cheaper than porefessional which is great!

Batiste Dry Shampoo for Blonde Hair- I've mentioned this product in one of my monthly favourites posts before. Even though I love Batistes normal dry shampoo, I love this even more because it's fantastic for root regrowth by giving a hint of colour to your hair and it freshens it up so much. Don't worry brunettes, they do dry shampoo for you too!

Soap & Glory Supercat Liner- I have been wanting to try out this liner for absolutely ages. If you didn't know, I won this in one of Soap & Glory's twitter competitions before Christmas, if you're interested in the products I won, there's a blog post here. After the first use of this liner, I loved it and it was my all time favourite.

Soap & Glory Love At First Blush- Again, I won this in Soap & Glory's twitter competition. Being honest with you, I didn't wear that much blush before getting this product. Now I wear it near enough every day. I love the design of it, I think it's very different. Although, my blush brush is way too big to pick out one shade, so I just sweep my brush across all of them and it gives a pretty pink rose look.

Maybelline Lash Sensational- This is one of my favourite mascaras that I would always go back to. Everything about this mascara is a 10/10 from me. It makes my lashes so much longer and gives them so much volume too. It doesn't leave any annoying fallout and lasts throughout the whole day. It definitely is sensational.

Do you personally like any of these 5 products?

Blogmas Day 7 : Soap & Glory #PINKFRIDAY

Hi lovelies!

So, last Friday (27th November) I entered Soap & Glory's competition on Twitter. This post is not meant to come across as 'bragging.' I'm just extremely grateful and insanely excited with the amount of products I received.

Just to point out... #PinkFriday was their version of 'Black Friday' as that's what day it was. As it was a competition, I never expected to receive lots of products or even full sized products. When I got my parcel I couldn't believe my eyes, it was huge and so so heavy! Of course I had to open it straight away and see what was inside.

As soon as I undone the bubble wrap, I was speechless as so was my mum. Each product was wrapped up individually so neat and perfect with their very own gorgeous tissue paper. I looked in the box and I just thought "wow, how much stuff is actually in here!?" I also had a very thoughtful note from them too.

So, lets take a look at what was inside...

Can I just point out that this product is massive! I love Soap & Glory's shower wash products. It smells like vanilla, it's a very strong smell once applied onto the skin. Plus, you smell amazing once you come out of the shower. I also love the smell of vanilla, so that's a win for me!

Ok, so lets be honest. Who knew that Soap & Glory brought out a bb cream? (I'm guilty). This is an all in one primer, moisturiser and UV-protector. I haven't yet tried this product as don't use bb cream but I will be using this from now on!

Well, what can I say? It's another body wash. Need I say more? Again, this also smells like vanilla but a much more sweeter scent than 'Whipped Clean'. My skin feels soft after using this product (like all of S&G wash products).

You will never believe how happy I was when I saw that I had this! I was so close to buying it the other week. I have always wanted to try this out and now I have (dream come true). This creates the perfect winged liner. It's also felt tip like so you can't make a mess unlike those brush liners. Don't you just hate those? Especially if you have a very shaky hand.

I love a good moisturiser. As my skin is very sensitive, I thought that I would have problems with this. I'm allergic to quite a lot of products, so I was incredibly happy once this was on for a few hours and didn't cause any problems. It smells gorgeous and very fruity. Huge thumbs up from me!

I don't use night cream, as they call it. I usually just take my makeup off, tone and moisturise. I suppose this does the same thing as moisturiser but hydrates more I guess, shout me if I'm wrong. My mum uses night cream though so I may give it to her. Top daughter. It smells pretty much the same as the day moisturiser but sweeter.

I don't use body butter as much as I used to but I will definitely be using all of this up. I can't even describe the smell, it smells exactly like another Soap & Glory body wash I own. Although, that doesn't really help at all. It smells quite fruity but strong.

Again, I didn't even know that this existed by Soap & Glory. The pillow plump XXL has been injected with 3XL-Peptide Plump complex. I haven't used this myself but my sister has. She said that it's like putting on a normal lipgloss but it's very tingly. Looking at her it looked like a pretty nude lipgloss but it didn't seem to 'plump'. She couldn't notice the difference either. It also doesn't have a very delightful smell, it smells of flowers but mixed with something else.

Just look at the colours though! These are perfect colours for me! I'm so happy with this! It's like a little compact with a mirror. Can I just say that there's so much pigment in this product too. Wow.

Where do I start!? I have never smelt a body wash product as strong as this! Honestly, it is very strong but such a gorgeous smell! It smells of limes and reminds me of holidays and lemonade with limes on the side of the glass. Wow. I am in love with this product and I am so impressed! If only I could send you a sample of it through the screen..

My last product is the sugar crush body scrub, near enough the same product as above. It smells the same, it leaves me feeling soft the same. It's just a scrub. Honestly, it doesn't look very pleasant but once the smell has sunk in your nose and it's on your body, it's bloody gorgeous! Trust me, I've never felt and smelt so clean. Get yourself some of this.

Thanks for reading this very long post, it was all worth it! Once I went through all these products, I thought to myself "wow, this must've been expensive." So, me being me (curious), I clicked onto their website and added each product up. The total came to £100 exact.

How amazing is that! It's so generous and I'm absolutely grateful. I feel like Christmas has come early! I just had to share the amazing products with you guys. I still can't believe that I've won a competition with one of my favourite brands of all time.

Thank you again, Soap & Glory.

Night Out : Silver Shimmer Eye & Rose Lip

Hello lovelies!

I created a gorgeous make-up look and I just had to share it with you. I'm usually really useless with make-up ideas, but I was so happy once I created this look.

silver shimmer eye

Starting off with the base I used the shade 'Biscuit' from the Eyes Uncovered Palette in Nude from Collection. The rest of the shades that I used in this look are from the Ultra 32 Shade Eyes Like Angels Eyeshadow Palette from Makeup Revolution.

I went straight in and put 'Silver Star' at the outer corner of my lid and in the crease a little at a time. I then worked my way inwards with a blending brush to create a fading effect with the base shade.
Next, I used a smaller eyeshadow brush and dabbed the shade 'Lilac Frost' all over the lid. I then blended that in very lightly.
Next, I added some 'White Light' to the inner corners of my eyes to enhance the make-up. I also dabbed it on top of my highlight on my brow bone very lightly as I didn't want it too shimmery.

I then carefully applied my liquid liner - I'm terrible at applying this but I personally think that I done quite well! I put on a thin layer of mascara and then applied my Eyelure Sexy SeƱorita lashes which I luuurve.

rose lip

Believe it or not, this is lip liner on it's own! Ok, so what's wrong with that? I absolutely love the colour and I've had so many compliments on it and questions asking "What lipstick is that?"

I thought that this colour was quite subtle and went well with the eye make-up so I went for it!
This is the L'Oreal Paris Les Lipliner Couture in the shade 302 Bois de Rose. I just want it in every shade, let me just put that out there!

Oh, and I also contoured properly for the first time in my life..
